I recently had a new developer ask me why they were getting email notifications when people posted comments to her client’s site. She had set the correct admin email address in settings, but comments were still coming to her.
Comment notifications are sent to the blog author, not the site owner, so if you created blog posts for the site owner, you are going to need to switch authorship over to the site owner. That is the only way to stop getting these emails. One way to accomplish this is to is to delete yourself as a user and assign your blog posts to the site owner. (You have to be logged in as another admin user to do this). Another way is to view the list of all Posts and click on Quick Edit and choose the Author drop down option there to change the post author.
