I’m so happy when my customers use Siteground. Having an SSL certificate is more important now that ever. (That means you have that https in the front of your URL instead of just http.) Siteground uses Let’s Encrypt to provide free SSL certificates.
When I first started looking into Let’s Encrypt, it looked complicated to set up and I was disappointed, but Siteground let’s you add a certificate right in your Cpanel with just a few clicks of a button! You can read the instructions on what to do here, but you don’t even need to read the whole page. Only the first four images are really relevant.
- Go to your Siteground Cpanel and under the “Security” area, choose “Let’s Encrypt”.
- Then find your domain name and choose “HTTPS Settings” from the “Select an Action” dropdown.
Then, be sure to enforce https for both insite links as well as outbound.
With Siteground making it this simple, there’s no reason not to get your SSL certificate today!
