In the past, I have strongly recommended the Captcha plugin by BestWebSoft, as one of my few recommended plugins, but recently I became aware of Google Captcha (reCAPTCHA), also by BestWebSoft, and find it even easier to use. This is the plugin I will use on every site I create to help reduce spam and increase security.
Instead of having to read an impossible to decipher combination of letters and numbers, or even answer a math question, all you have to do is check a box. I can’t think of anything easier. And because it has options to use this on different areas of your site like Lost Password and Comments, you can protect multiple areas of your site with one plugin.
If you’re not already using Google Captcha, I recommend you install it today.

I installed but could sent comment without putting check mark that I am not a robot in recaptcha. Testing your form without it.
Looks like it is required on your form.
I put in a support question about it.
“When testing I did not put check in recaptcha box. Email still was sent without it.
How do you make this a required field?
When checking recaptcha box I get error “Verification expired. Check the checkbox again”
site page is “http://cmfaa.org/contact/” But have not heard back yet.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

I tested and the captcha seemed to be working fine. Are you sure it’s not the form itself? Does the form work when you disable it? I was able to check the box with no problem, but form never seems to send.

Hello Laura,
Thanks for the reply. I think it is the form. I will look for another form that works better for file uploads also.
Thanks

Hey Laura,
I have looked at the list of recommended plugins. My choice is W3 total cache and Backupbuddy. As for a contact form, I like WPForms Lite. It is most popular plugin. Check it out here:

Thanks
