The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes effect on May 25, 2018. If you sell to EU residents, this law applies to you — even if you aren’t in the EU. If you run a WooCommerce store, important things to consider:
- How (and why) your site stores personal data.
- Whether your Privacy Policy needs an update.
- How you’ll handle Right to Erasure and Right of Access requests.
There are new tools included in WordPress 4.9.6 and WooCommerce 3.4 to help you with customer data requests, and we’ve published a six part series for business owners on getting ready for the GDPR.
