This weekend I attended WordCamp NYC. For anyone who has never been to a WordCamp, I highly recommend it. It doesn’t matter weather you are just beginning, or if you have been around for all nine years of WordPress’ existence, there is something for you.
Let me start out by saying that never have I had so much fun “working” the weekend. WordPress people are the most incredible people because it is a community that works together for everyone’s betterment. It is a group that shares and teaches. We are not a group of competitors, but rather a community where each person is still learning and all of us are ready to teach what we know. I have never been part of such a group of people that truly love what they do. Don’t know anyone? No problem, we are all friends here.
The classes I attended were incredible and I’d like to send out a huge thank you to those that taught, those that volunteered, the organizers and the sponsors that made it all happen for just $35 per person. No WordCamp around you? Join a local WordPress Meetup. I belong to 3 right here in my area. They similar to WordCamp, but on a much smaller scale and usually also very cheap. If you have any questions about WordCamp, please contact me because I would love to share my experience. I invite you to share the WordPress Love.
In the upcoming weeks, I’ll share some of what I learned at WordCamp, so please stay tuned for some great tutorials. What would you like to learn about?
