Now that more websites are being viewed on mobile devices, I like to have the contact phone number right in the navigation at the top of the website. Here’s how to add it so that your visitors can just click to call.
You’ll see I used a Custom Link instead of a regular page link in the menu and then for the URL, I added the “tel:+1-” in front of the telephone number.
Tip: If you don’t see the Custom Link option with your menus, be sure to check the Screen Options at the top right corner of the screen and make sure Custom Link is checked.
You can also add this type of link anywhere in your site with this simple inline HTML:
